Metro taxi passengers can enjoy free WiFi connections, courtesy of, Smile Communications Nigeria Limited. The Internet Service provider introduced the free service to over 200 Metro Taxis in Lagos.
Thisday reports that the initiative comes right after the partnership deal brokered between Smile Communications and the transportation firm, Metro-taxi.
“We are reinforcing the view that people should remain connected to the internet while on the go. The internet is about a more productive lifestyle. In spite of the strata of the society you belong, you should live a connected life. That is what Smile is advocating,” says Mrs. Alero Ladipo, Chief Marketing Officer, Smile Communications Nigeria Limited.
Metro Taxi also allayed the fears of customers by indicating that the introduction of free internet access for passengers will not affect the current price of transportation.
