The Lagos-based accelerator, iDea, has begun taking applications into its incubator program.
According to iDea’s Lagos center manager, Funmbi Falayi, the hub is looking to take in up to 38 startups in its residential and affiliate incubation programs.
“We are looking to take in up to 17 Entrepreneurs in our residential program and 21 Entrepreneurs into our affiliate program. The residential program is for people fully focused and committed to their startup while the affiliate program is for those who may be building a business on the side and do not need to work from the incubator full time,” Falayi said.
Falayi said the hub is looking for startups creating solutions in financial technology, enterprise technology for SMEs, healthtech and e-commerce.
“Applying startups can expect business advisory, technical training , technical consulting, free server space / hosting, mentorship, serviced office space,” iDea said.
Startups will also have access industry connects, investment, legal and marketing services. The hub will take no equity in incubated startups, unlike the its 4-month accelerator programme where the hub takes up to 6% equity in startups.
