Women in Tech Africa has now made available to the public, a database containing a cross section of their members. The database highlights members’ specialties and also links to their LinkedIn profiles, thereby solving one of the issues that has plagued the African tech scene till now.
Presently, there are few women speakers at a large number of tech related events. And the reason is usually, “we cannot find women in the area to invite to speak.” Hopefully, this database quells that cop out.
“Women in Tech Africa is solving this problem: since we are the largest group of capable women in the technology industry, we are in a position to showcase capable women in the industry who might not necessarily be visible,” a press release said.
You can search through the database by skill set, location and other details. So, recruiters, CEOs, event organizers in Africa and whoever may be interested, are invited to come and find their next hire, next speaker or even their next board member at the Women in Tech Africa website.
