The Ministry of East African Affairs, Commerce & Tourism through Kenya Investment Authority (KenInvest) is hosting the 2nd Edition of the Kenya International Investment and Trade Conference 2015 (KIICO 2015) on 23rd – 25th November, 2015 at the Kenyatta International Convention Center (KICC), with the theme; “Think Investment, Make it Kenya”.

KIICO 2015 is set to offer a platform to international, regional and domestic investors to consider business opportunities across various sectors of the Kenyan economy. The conference will highlight Kenya’s strategic role as a hub for doing business with the rest of the world and will provide a forum for investors and policymakers to build a narrative on ways to further improve the business environment. KIICO 2015 will focus on key growth industries including ICT & Innovation; alongside a stream focusing on cross cutting issues and further sector opportunities.

Nest Nairobi is partnering with the Kenya Investment Authority for KIIC 2015 to support entrepreneurs and offer local startups access to the VC’s growing international network as well as Asian funding. As the official Venture Preparation Partner for the conference, Nest will prepare selected ICT startups for investor pitches and run the pitching session during the four day conference. Nest’s Africa Managing Partner Aaron Fu is among the speakers will lead a session on “Investing Tech Startups in Africa – Lessons from the Trenches” and B2B match making between investors and tech startups. The selected local startups will also be featured on Nest’s Investable.vc to expose them to a global audience of investors.
