Uber Nigeria just announced a monthly rewards program called UberVIP. It means that every month, they will pair the best-behaved riders with the highest-rated drivers, in the best cars.
According to the blogpost, the UberVIP programme also grants access to exclusive offers, giveaways, and early access to Uber promotions. Users who take more than 10 rides in a month, and maintain a rating of 4.6 and above will achieve “VIP status”, see an UberVIP option in their app (see below) and thus gain access to the UberVIP goody bag.

Uber will not charge riders any extra fees for the extra comfort, but they warn that because there aren’t many VIP vehicles, wait times may be a bit longer. Meh. I use Uber around 10 times per month, already and I’m more concerned with getting to my destinations in one piece, than anything else. Still? The special treatment is very welcome.
