• elev8 and Microsoft is seeking to accelerate the employability of tech talent in Nigeria 

elev8 education, a leading global digital skilling and transformative education partner, recently announced a collaboration with Microsoft to transform the software development skills of youths around Nigeria.

 elev8 and Microsoft, through the Africa Transformation Office (ATO), is seeking to accelerate the employability of tech talent in Nigeria and In line with this, it has kicked off a free software development upskilling career progression program for those interested in joining the fastest-growing sector in IT. 

The elev8-Microsoft career progression program invests in professional software development training through a robust skilling program aimed at key industries and profiles across Nigeria.

The 58-day program which will begin with a pilot program in March will train 125 students and is geared to currently non-employed learners in Nigeria. 

The elev8-Microsoft career progression program combines virtual classroom learning with hands-on projects for its software development cohort in Nigeria. 

“elev8 is committed to delivering high-quality services to our partners, and the best way to do that is by investing in tech talent and equipping them with hands-on experience that makes for long and successful careers in the IT field. Running the career acceleration program in collaboration with Microsoft will give these talents the necessary tools to compete in the IT sector,” said Lars Johannisson, Africa Regional Director, elev8.

The first cohort of the elev8-Microsoft career progression program is set to begin on the 21st  of March, and Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, and Sciences graduates with less than two years of experience in IT are encouraged to apply via https://bit.ly/3pvBMAi
