Accelerex, one of the foremost Fintech companies in Nigeria, has gained another global certification after it attained the ISO 27001:2013 certification on Information Security.

The ISO 27001:2013 of Information Security Management System, the global standard for information security management systems, ensures that organizations keep information assets secure, by building an information security infrastructure against loss, damage, theft, and other forms of threats to information assets.

This certification is awarded to companies that demonstrate best-in-class data security management and protection. It covered all operational activities within Accelerex, a proof that the Fintech Company has met all the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving its information security management systems.

Reacting to this achievement, the Managing Director of Accelerex, Mr. Olukayode Ariyo, stated that Accelerex is pleased to receive this certification after a rigorous assessment by international certified auditors, Management System Certification Body (MSECB). He added that this is a testament that the Company is committed to the highest security, ethical and professional standard.

Mr. Ariyo further noted: “We operate in the digital payment space and when it comes to the protection of data and information, we leave no stone unturned because our customers, partners, staff, and other stakeholders trust us to keep their information safe. Our information security framework is designed to ensure confidentiality and to safely manage the security of our clients’ information and this certification attests to that.”

In his response to this milestone achievement, the Chief Information Security Officer of the Company, Mr. Matthew Ani said, “This certification validates that the security of all information including financial information, intellectual property, employee details and information gathered or entrusted to us by customers and other stakeholders are successfully stored, managed and protected according to globally acceptable standards.”
