On a mission to train one million developers and impact one billion lives across Africa over the next five years, Mara Foundation today announced its Web3 Developer roadshow, in partnership with Circle, USD Coin (USDC), and Euro Coin (EUROC) stablecoins issuer. Scheduled to take place in Nigeria and Kenya from 21st – 29th October, 2022, the roadshow is part of Mara Foundation’s accelerated impact roadmap for blockchain capacity building in Africa.

As part of the Mara Foundation and Circle partnership, the roadshow aims to increase awareness for stablecoins, champion blockchain adoption, and educate developers and non-developers across the continent about available resources through the partnership.

The roadshow will include hands-on workshops, panel sessions, demos, and talks on blockchain technology, finance, cybersecurity, design thinking, and more. A cross-section of industry experts such as Dr. Bright Mawudor of Xetova, Clement Hugbo of Web3Media, Sam Sealey of Circle, Uche Elendu of AppZone, Oluchi Eneobli of Web3Ladies, Idris Olubisi of Mara, Chris Quintero of Stackshift e.t.c are confirmed speakers at the roadshow.

The roadshow by Mara Foundation will contribute to building a Pan-African tribe of forward thinkers and builders to transform the future of African communities, countries, and the continent.

Mara Foundation is committed to empowering people to build solutions that solve major environmental, economic, and social challenges for a sustainable future. With Web 3, Financial literacy, and blockchain education firmly rooted at the heart of everything Mara Foundation does, the roadshow will provide the tools Africans need to participate in and build their futures through blockchain technology and stablecoins like USDC and EUROC, with sustainability, equality, and inclusivity considerations.

The collaboration by Mara and Circle on the Web3 Developer roadshow underscores the ability of tailor-made programs like these to meet Africans where they are, make a long-term positive social impact, and serve as building blocks for a robust African innovation ecosystem.

The Lagos roadshow will take place at The Hall, Victoria Island, while the Nairobi roadshow will take place at Movenpick Residences, Nairobi. Both roadshows will include an all-day technical conference that will help demystify blockchain, spark conversation about the usage of stablecoins such as USDC, and the support available to developers through the Mara Developers Launchpad and Circle builders program.
