As part of its Pan-African ecosystem mission, 22 On Sloane is inviting tech-based startups from Nigeria and Kenya into its Accelerator Programme. 22 On Sloane’s Accelerator programme or the Catalytic programme is an annual one-year programme with the cohort selection taking place during November of the preceding year. The programme is designed to support high impact digital startups across Africa to start, launch, commercialise and scale. The programme is delivered from the 22 On Sloane main start-up campus in Bryanston, South Africa. Programme aims to deliver tailored capacity development that will help drive market and investor readiness in startups across the African Continent. This, in turn, will yield access to market and capital for the startups. The Catalytic programme also aims to help drive socioeconomic impact in Africa by helping startups to implement innovative solutions to real-life problems while scaling and creating jobs.
22 On Sloane will be hosting pitch days in Lagos, Nigeria, and Nairobi, Kenya where startups will have an opportunity to present their businesses to a panel. Applications are open and will close on the 20th of November. Virtual pre-screening sessions will begin during Global Entrepreneurship Week on the 17th of November until the 25th of November 2022. Successful applicants will then be invited to the physical pitching sessions in Lagos and Nairobi. 22 On Sloane invites all tech-enabled businesses with a minimum viable product (MVP), that is pre-seed and pre or post-revenue to apply. Startups who are successful during the pitch days will be onboarded onto the Accelerator Programme where they will receive a cash seed injection of USD10k which will be unlocked at each programme milestone achieved. The top 5 performing startups will receive up to USD50k investment subject to terms and conditions.
