ICP.Hub Sahara, the official hub of the Internet Computer Protocol in West Africa, proudly announces the upcoming DecaHack Pitch event, scheduled for March 29th and 30th, 2024. This event marks the culmination of the DecaHack initiative, an ambitious project launched four months ago, aimed at fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among universities across Nigeria.
The DecaHack initiative has engaged 11 universities spanning nine states in Nigeria, including Lagos State University (LASU), Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), Federal University Gusau, Federal University of Technology Minna (FUT Minna), Federal University Lokoja, University of Jos (UniJos), University of Ilorin, Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Kwara State University (KWASU), and Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK). Through a combination of tours, virtual bootcamps, and mini-hackathons, students from these institutions have been empowered to develop solutions on the Internet Computer Protocol (ICP).
After months of intensive training, ideation, and collaboration, the DecaHack Pitch event will showcase the innovative startups that have emerged from this initiative. Thirty outstanding startups from six universities across four states – Niger, Osun, Ogun, and Kwara – will take the stage to pitch their groundbreaking ideas and solutions.
