Smartcomply recently had the honor of hosting Commissioner of Police Uche Ifeanyi Henry,at the just concluded Compliance and cybersecurity breakfast session put together by Smartcomply.

After an enlightening event, CP Uche embarked on an enlightening journey through the heart of Lagos’ cybersecurity ecosystem. This initiative was designed to strengthen his understanding of evolving cyber threats and bolster his capacity to lead critical cybersecurity efforts within the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Center (NPF-NCC).

The learning experience began at Smartcomply’s flagship event, where CP Uche engaged as keynote speaker with cybersecurity experts, regulatory bodies, and industry leaders. The event spotlighted discussions on cutting-edge technologies, cybercrime, fraud prevention and the importance of compliance, and the role of collaborative efforts in combating cybercrime.

Highlighting the tour were visits to some of Lagos’ most prominent cybersecurity hubs, including:

  • Cybervergent,
  • CyberSOC
  • Other leading cybersecurity firms.

The Commissioner also received a recognition award from Smartcomply during the event recognising his dedication to addressing Nigeria’s most pressing cybercrime challenges. These briefings included an overview of the Center’s milestones, their collaboration with international organizations, and plans to implement enhanced frameworks for cybersecurity in both public and private sectors.

Speaking on his experience, CP Uche remarked:
“This journey has been eye-opening. Cybercrime is evolving rapidly, and it is crucial that we, as law enforcement, remain one step ahead. The knowledge and partnerships formed through this initiative will strengthen our ability to secure Nigeria’s cyberspace.”
