She Code Africa, a nonprofit driving digital inclusion for African girls and women, has been selected as one of the global grantees of the HP Digital Equity Accelerator,  a flagship initiative from HP Inc. and the HP Foundation that supports bold, scalable solutions that advance digital equity in underserved communities.

Through this partnership, She Code Africa will receive a high-value support package, including HP technology, six-figure grant funding, and six months of executive training, mentorship, and access to a global innovation network designed to fuel growth and impact.. This support will enable She Code Africa to further scale its impact and reach more women and girls in underserved regions across Africa.

Since its founding in 2016, She Code Africa has grown from a small community project into one of Africa’s most impactful organizations driving gender-inclusive technology access. Rooted in the belief that African women and girls deserve a seat at the forefront of innovation, She Code Africa provides training, scholarships, mentorship, and career acceleration programs that have empowered over 62,000 participants across the continent.

“This recognition by HP is not just a celebration of our past work, but a springboard for what’s next” said Ada Nduka Oyom, Founder & Executive Director of She Code Africa. “It affirms the need to double down on inclusive digital education models and community-rooted innovation and with HP’s support, we’ll be able to strengthen our infrastructure, pilot context-specific learning models, and scale our impact at a time when equitable access to technology is more critical than ever.”

This partnership amplifies She Code Africa’s ongoing mission to empower thousands of African women and girls with technical skills, resources, and community support, creating pathways to meaningful careers in technology. Through this partnership, She Code Africa will deepen its work across low-connectivity and underserved communities, piloting innovative training programs, expanding tech tool access, and building capacity to reach even more women and girls.

This recognition by HP and the HP Foundation comes at a critical time, as a $1 trillion global digital divide continues to block billions from education and economic participation. The Accelerator seeks to bridge that gap by supporting visionary organizations like She Code Africa already building solutions.

“The future of work depends on equitable access to technology, digital skills, and opportunity,” said Michele Malejki, Global Head of Social Impact, HP Inc. and Executive Director, HP Foundation. “Through the Digital Equity Accelerator, HP is empowering nonprofits to bridge the digital divide, ensuring disconnected adolescents and adults have the tools and training needed to thrive in an increasingly digital world. By investing in these organizations, we are not just expanding access, we are powering the future of work.”

The Digital Equity Accelerator aims to power the future of work by improving access to technology, digital literacy, and AI-driven skills. She Code Africa joins an inspiring cohort of high-impact nonprofits from Greece, Indonesia, Nigeria, and Spain, all focused on driving equitable digital transformation in their communities.
