In a significant move for Nigeria’s creative and service sectors, renowned cinematographer Octalayke has partnered with digital service platform HandyPros to deliver a one-week intensive video production workshop, taking place from June 23–27, 2025 in Lagos.
The workshop will offer a hands-on, high-level learning experience for 30 selected creatives — spanning filmmakers, content creators, photographers, and visual storytellers. Participants will be trained in essential modules such as camera gear and movement, lighting setup, color theory, pre- and post-production, on-set execution, audio-visual syncing, portfolio development, and more. The programme also includes one-on-one mentorship, internship opportunities, and a certification of completion.
Octalayke, known for his distinct visual style and collaborations with top Nigerian artists and brands, described the workshop as an opportunity to close the gap between raw talent and industry access. “This isn’t just about teaching — it’s about opening doors,” he said.
