Oxygen X Finance Company, a digital lending platform and subsidiary of Access Holdings, has partnered with the Lagos Food Bank Initiative to empower women in underserved communities in Agege through a sustainable backyard farming initiative in celebration of International Women’s Month.
The program supports women’s economic empowerment and financial inclusion in Lagos by equipping beneficiaries with poultry farming resources, including cages, chicks, feeders, antibiotics, and multivitamins, enabling them to build sustainable income streams.
To drive long-term impact, participants also received financial literacy and credit education, focused on running profitable businesses, managing credit responsibly, and scaling their ventures.
Speaking on the initiative, Emmanuella Awogu, Brand Manager and Acting Head of Marketing at Oxygen X, said:
