South African crypto holders have a 12-day window to claim something most product launches never offer: a Bitget Dollar Card activation that costs nothing and may pay them up to 200 USDC on sign-up.
Bitget Wallet, the global everyday financial app, has opened the early-bird phase of its Dollar Card launch in South Africa. From 24 April to 6 May, the first 500 eligible South Africans who apply will have the standard activation fee waived and will receive a randomised reward of between 2 and 200 USDC.
After that window, the card rolls out to the broader South African market at standard pricing, and the reward pool closes.
For South Africans already using stablecoins to hold value, send money, or buy crypto as part of their everyday habits, this is the piece of infrastructure the market has been waiting for. For the first 500 users, it arrives free, with a cash back bonus on day one.
What is the Bitget Wallet Card?
The Bitget Dollar Card is a USD-denominated digital card issued through the Bitget Wallet app. Users keep USDC in their Bitget Wallet and load the card from that balance. When they pay at a merchant, USDC converts to rand at the point of sale. The card can be used to make payments at shops, for flights, hotels, Uber, streaming services, and online stores.
Users apply through the app and add the virtual card to their phone wallet within minutes. No physical card ships. No bank branch visit. No paperwork beyond KYC verification, done inside the app.
Bitget Wallet does not hold your funds. The card’s balance stays in your self-custodial wallet, managed by your own keys. Cardholders also earn cash back on purchases, in addition to the one-time Early Bird reward.
Who can get the Bitget Dollar Card early bird offer?
First, you must be a South African resident aged 18 or older.
Second, you must complete Know Your Customer (KYC) verification in the Bitget Wallet app. This takes a few minutes.
Third, you must not have applied for or held any other card through your Bitget Wallet account. The early bird offer is for first-time card applicants only.
If you meet these three requirements and apply before 500 spots fill or 6 May arrives, whichever comes first, you qualify.
