With two successful university interventions and over 400 students supported, the initiative invites institutional partnership to sustain and expand its impact
Project New Nigeria has done what many initiatives only promise: it has delivered. On April 22, 2026, the initiative completed its second major campus empowerment event at Niger Delta University (NDU), Bayelsa State, awarding 300 scholarships, including one special scholarship and 15 iPads to students, and conducting a comprehensive civic education program on voter registration and democratic participation.

Combined with last year’s intervention at the University of Port Harcourt, where a large number of students received equivalent support, Project New Nigeria has now established a fully operational, field-tested model for youth empowerment in the Niger Delta. The initiative has moved beyond concept and into consistent, measurable impact. It is now ready to scale.
Samuel Kaley Nzidee, Founder and Convener of Project New Nigeria, is calling on corporate organisations, NGOs, government agencies, educational institutions, and impact investors to join the initiative as partners. The ask is not for goodwill, it is for collaboration on a model that has already proven its viability.
“What we have built at Project New Nigeria is not an event, it is a system,” said Nzidee. “A system that identifies students in need, delivers both financial and technological support, and embeds civic responsibility in the same conversation. We have proven it works at two universities. With the right partners, we can take it to twenty.”

The initiative’s three-pillar model, educational financing, digital access, and democratic sensitization is designed with scalability in mind. Each campus intervention follows a replicable structure that can be adapted to different institutions, regions, and student demographics without losing its core impact. The model also lends itself naturally to co-branding, CSR alignment, and measurable social return on investment.
Nigeria’s youth demographic is its most significant national asset, and its most underdeveloped one. With over 60% of Nigeria’s population under the age of 25, the case for youth investment is not merely ethical: it is strategic. Companies and institutions that invest in Project New Nigeria are not simply writing cheques for goodwill, they are building relationships with the next generation of Nigerian consumers, professionals, and decision-makers.

The NDU event also featured entertainer and cultural influencer Sabinus, whose participation underscored the initiative’s ability to attract high-profile support and generate organic visibility across social media and youth-facing platforms — a valuable asset for any partner seeking meaningful brand association with Nigeria’s youth market.
Nzidee has built Project New Nigeria with a long-term horizon. As a businessman and consultant, he brings not just passion but structured thinking to the initiative, making it an unusually credible partner for organisations accustomed to working with professionally managed programs. The initiative is actively seeking partnerships for its next campus expansion and is open to discussions on co-branded programming, funding arrangements, and institutional MOUs.
