If you need information online, you use Google. But if all you need is to get your laundry and dry-cleaning done without any hassle, you use Washlify. Or at least that’s what Hassan Abdulhamid, Washlify creator, wants you to do. I would have thought of it more as the Konga or Jumia of laundry.
Washlify looks to simplify and modernize the way people currently do their laundry. Using the mobile app, users will be able to schedule their laundry for drop-off and pick-up with the local laundromats, including the ability to add special notes and track progress of laundry. The app will also help users discover new laundromats around their vicinity.
According to Abdulhamid, Washify hopes to displace the existing dry-cleaning infrastructure in much the same way that Netflix did to Blockbuster a few decades ago.
The app and service is set to launch in June. In the meantime, you can sign up to be notified as soon as it goes live.
