As the digital economy accelerates across Africa, equipping women with the tools to lead and innovate has never been more needed. The Women in Tech Accelerator (WIT) Nigeria program, an initiative by the Standard Chartered Foundation and implemented by the Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) of Pan-Atlantic University in partnership with Village Capital, has officially launched its 2025 Cohort—a bold step toward bridging the gender gap in tech and shaping the future of digital innovation.

Now in its sixth edition, the WIT program is targeting the rapid advancement of women-led startups and emerging female talent across various technology fields. This year’s accelerator program combines capacity building, mentorship, and access to capital—essentials for thriving in today’s tech-driven world.

“Accelerating women in technology to scale is crucial for fostering innovation and growth in the ecosystem,” said Dr. Nneka Okekearu, Director, Enterprise Development Centre, Pan-Atlantic University. “In collaboration with the Standard Chartered Foundation and Village Capital, we are excited to support and launch the sixth cohort of enterprising women to lead and continue to innovate across Africa’s growing digital economy.”
