What’s in the box?
Inside the box, TECNO packs in all the essentials, which is refreshing these days:
- The Spark 40 Pro+ unit itself. Mine came in the Moon Titanium Edition (Silver-Gray)
- 45W fast charging brick
- USB Type-C cable
- SIM ejector tool
- Curved screen protector (included in the box, not pre-applied)
It’s a thoughtful bundle that gets you up and running immediately without having to hunt for accessories.

Design and build
The first thing I noticed the moment I picked up the TECNO Spark 40 Pro+ was how featherlight it felt. At 6.49 mm thin, the phone is incredibly slim, so much so that I sometimes forgot it was in my hand. The Moon Titanium (silver-gray) finish gives it a modern, futuristic look, while the matte texture on the back resists fingerprints and adds grip. The phone is not slippery to hold.
Despite being slim, it still feels solid. It’s rated IP64 for dust and water resistance, and the front is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, which should help it survive accidental drops and scratches. TECNO also claims it can withstand drops from up to 2 meters.

Software and security
Setting up the phone required me to sign up for a TECNO ID, which seemed like a hurdle at first, but it is straightforward. I put in my email address and a code was sent to my mail. It adds a layer of security to the device. The Spark 40 Pro+ runs on Android 15 with TECNO’s HiOS 15.1.1. It’s packed with smart tools, like a feature to capture pictures based on motions, and customisation features, and in my experience, it feels fluid and responsive.
Display and comfort
The Spark 40 Pro+ comes with a flagship-grade 6.78-inch 3D AMOLED display, running at a smooth 144 Hz refresh rate and 1.5 K resolution. Colors are vibrant on the screen, and scrolling feels very smooth and fluid. The experience is excellent for watching videos, gaming, or just reading.
It’s also fitted with advanced eye-comfort modes that adjust brightness and color temperature based on ambient light, reducing strain during late-night scrolling.
Performance and Camera
Although my testing was more casual, one standout camera feature is the added electronic image stabilisation (EIS), which helps steady your shots and videos. There’s also a thoughtful camera setting that notifies you when the lens is dirty. This comes in handy if you shoot often and want consistently clear photos.

Battery & Charging
Battery life is another big win for the mobile device. The Spark 40 Pro+ houses a massive 5200 mAh battery, with TECNO promising it will retain good health for up to 5 years of use. In practice, it easily gets through a full day on a single charge. In my experience, it lasted two days with light tasks, and I did not have many apps running in the background.
It supports 45 W wired fast charging and, impressively, 30 W wireless charging.
Final Thoughts
The TECNO Spark 40 Pro+ balances style, durability, and smart features. Its ultra-slim and lightweight design makes it effortless to carry, while the AMOLED display, Gorilla Glass 7i protection, IP64 rating, and long-lasting battery make it feel far more premium than its midrange positioning suggests.
If you want a phone that is sleek, secure, and has wireless charging and EIS features, the Spark 40 Pro+ is a standout option in TECNO’s lineup.
