Lagos, Nigeria – Africa’s largest Web3 and blockchain festival, Blockfest Africa 2025, is set to take place in Lagos on Saturday, October 11, 2025.

The event is convened by Samuel Olaoyenikan, popularly known as XeusTheGreat, a Web3 founder, investor, educator, and one of the most consistent influence shaping Africa’s decentralized future.

Blockfest Africa will gather over 4,000 participants from 50+ countries, creating a hub for workshops, exhibitions, policy dialogues, and cultural showcases under three pillars – BUIDL, BRIDGE, and BECOME.

Samuel Olaoyenikan: The Founder, Investor, and Visionary Behind the Vision

Olaoyenikan is the Founder of Nirvana Academy, a leading blockchain education hub committed to building Africa’s next generation of Web3 innovators. Beyond training thousands of young Africans in blockchain technology, he has also emerged as a strategic investor, backing promising startups and empowering communities to scale practical Web3 solutions.

Through initiatives like the Nirvana Village Square (NVS 1.0 & 2.0), Olaoyenikan has created platforms for dialogue between founders, innovators, and investors. This unique role as a bridge builder has positioned him as a conventional force in Web3, setting transformative direction for others to follow.

Speaking on his vision, Olaoyenikan said,

“Changing this narrative starts with us. African builders must take control of how we are seen globally. That’s what Nirvana Village Square stands for – and it’s the vision we’re amplifying at BLOCKF3ST Africa.”

It’s with this philosophy that Olaoyenikan is now convening Blockfest Africa, a public festival expected to attract thousands of builders, investors, researchers, and creatives from across the continent and beyond.

Colleagues and partners describe him as a visionary determined to place Africa on the global blockchain map.
