A new Microsoft software development kit (SDK), released yesterday by Microsoft will allow developers create applications for the coming Windows 10 universal application platform (UAP).
The Windows 10 UAP is how the software company brings home it’s “One Window” utopia where developers can create universal apps that will run across Microsoft Windows’ form factors: phones, tablets, Xbox and PCs.
“Develop once for all Windows devices using a unified Windows runtime and VS tools that allow you to both support experiences unique to a device and share the code that supports those experiences across all devices,” Microsoft says about the new SDK in post on its website.
To access the new SDK, developers need to sign up for the Windows Insider Program, install the latest Windows 10 technical preview release and install both Visual Studio 2015 Community Technology Preview (CTP) 6 and the Tools for the Windows 10 Technical Preview, which includes the Windows 10 software development kit (SDK).
