Airtel Kenya has completed phase one of its network upgrade in the Nairobi area.
Techmoran reports that the upgrade involved a comprehensive change of legacy hardware and expansion radio of network elements.
“Completion of the upgrade has significantly enhanced network signals and improved voice quality for Airtel customers,” an excerpt reads from the report, “phase two of the upgrade which involves improving data speed is in progress and is expected to offer a stable and faster internet service.”
“We are confident that the upgrade will increase our network capacity, improve voice quality and data speeds, helping us to continue enriching our customers’ (Internet) and voice experience across the country,” said Adil El Youssefi, CEO, Airtel Kenya.
