Chura, a Kenyan startup that enables people to switch between mobile operators online or via text, has rolled out its Chura Paypal to mobile money payment services, Chura money.

Chura money, according to a Disrupt Africa report, is a service that allows users to withdraw cash from a PayPal account into any mobile phone.

The service also enables transfers from a debit or credit card to an M-Pesa account and also allows international remittance by Kenyans through their mobile phones.

“With this service, you can now withdraw money from your Paypal account to any mobile phone instantly, transfer funds from your credit or debit card to any M-pesa account and send money to friends and family in Kenya directly on their mobile phones,” Chura says on its website.

Chura allows interoperability between different mobile networks in a multi-SIM environment and was part of Demo Africa 2014 final 40. The company was incubated at CD4Lab, a startup incubator at the University of Nairobi, Kenya.
