The bootcamp kicking off the Tony Elemelu entrepreneurship programme (TEEP) will begin today in Ota, South West, Nigeria. The two-day bootcamp will end on July 12.
One thousand entrepreneurs, selected from over 20,000 that applied back in March will participate in the two-day bootcamp, and according to a news release from the organizers, The Tony Elemelu Foundation (TEF), this will be largest gathering of entrepreneurs on the continent.
‘I am confident that these entrepreneurs are Africa’s hope for the future,’ Mr. Tony Elumelu said.
Disrupt Africa reports that the two-day bootcamp will feature plenary sessions, networking, and open mic session with Tony Elemelu.
The one thousand shortlist was announced in March and the selected entrepreneurs had continued with a 12-week online training programme as part of the build up to the camp.
Participating entrepreneurs represent 51 African countries and territories across various sectors, ranging from Agriculture, to ICT, fashion and education.
