    Register for EIE’s ‘Office of the Citizen’ Hackathon to help Nigerians talk about governance

    Nigerian governance advocacy group, Enough is Enough (EiE), has announced its ‘Office of the Citizen Hackathon’ to create an effective platform for citizens to discuss and address governance shortfalls in Nigeria.

    The goal of hackathon is to “give techies space to create a platform that’ll allow citizens to not only vent about issues that are important to them but also provide a space for citizens and organisations to collaborate to solve problems,” EIE convener, Yemi Adamolekun, told TechCabal.

    The hackathon is open to pretty much anyone  including, funders, CSOs and techies; developer and designers. The organization is looking to have a portal up by the end of the day.

    Venue: BudgIT office, 3rd floor,13 Hughes Avenue Alagomeji, Yaba Lagos

    Time: 11.00 a.m.

    During the 2015 Nigerian presidential elections, EiE developed Revoda, a mobile app, to help citizens monitor their votes.

    Financial technology startup, BudgIT,  and Paradigm Initiative Nigeria (PIN), a social enterprise that connects Nigerian youth with ICT-enabled opportunities,  are partners for this event.
