The second edition of the #TechPlus event will hold between July 21 and 23, at Eko Hotels Conference Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos. The organisers, Connect Marketing Services have termed it, “a connected world”, and they’ve put together what I think is a really good launch video.
They’ve described it as “the largest gathering of everything technology”, and it’s got 3 facets to it; the conference, the exhibition and the gaming event. The first edition was pretty successful. It was a joint effort between Connect Marketing Services, and MTN Nigeria, and over 6000 participants came to listen to over 30 speakers/panelists.

Around 1096 gamers attended last year’s event, and there were really interesting presentations, too. 3D printing, the Drone Club, Twinpine marketing presentation, and others.
Kazeem Abimbola, Executive Director, Connect Marketing said, “We are excited to announce the 2016 edition of TechPlus Nigeria – the leading convergence of everything tech in Nigeria.”
He continued, “This year, we will showcase more of Africa’s technological innovations that will advance both the human and social development of the country. Ultimately, this will yield value for both customers and businesses. This year, the event will include a Hackathon and a Pitch Event.”
There’s been no word from the organisers yet, about who the speakers at this edition will be, but they promise they will create a platform for innovation and new products to be introduced to a large audience.
“TechPlus Conference and Expo is a place where new technology comes to life, new products are launched and innovations converge,”…they said, on their website…“providing manufacturers, concept generators, software and hardware companies, content developers a platform to bring their products and services to life.”
