Muktar Oladunmade is a Senior Reporter at TechCabal, covering daily technology news across Africa, funding stories, and covering startups, venture capital firms, and venture studios, as well as conducting interviews. He co-leads the Startups vertical.

Muktar’s interests lie in charting the growth of technology in Africa, its human and business impact on the continent, and the people behind it. These interests have led him to contribute to the Digital Nomads‘ flagship. 

Prior to joining TechCabal, Muktar ran a Substack newsletter about cryptocurrency. His passion for international diplomacy led him to serve first as a researcher in 2019 and then as a Vice Chair in 2020 at the Lagos Model United Nations. He was also privileged to serve as President at the Ghana Model United Nations in 2020. 

Outside his work, Muktar is a certified cinephile and considers Christopher Nolan’s films the Holy Grail. He enjoys working out, cooking, listening to music, and reading fiction. He is a Law graduate of the University of Lagos.
