After whetting our appetites with a 40 second YouTube trailer, the whack-a-mole type game, Sambisa assault, is finally out.

Sambisa Assault is the latest work from the stables of ChopUp, the gaming division of Pledge51, a mobile development company which has churned out other culturally relevant works like Danfo Reloaded and Table Soccer.

Sambisa Assault is totally free to play and it has some in-game items (such as bullet proof vests, bombs and other ammunition) for sale that enhance the gaming experience.

According to Zubair Abubakar, co-founder of Pledge51, “Half the Proceeds made from the game goes to support victims of terrorism.”

The idea behind Sambisa Assault is based on the mysterious forest in Northern Nigeria, Sambisa forest; which is believed to be the strong hold of the Boko Haram terrorist group currently ravaging the region.

I have had a first hand feel of the game, where the gamer is tasked with taking out a heavily bearded terrorist group.

Looking forward to finding out just how the game would end and also dig in some more for a proper appraisal.

Sambisa Assault is currently available on Google Play for android devices while it is believed the iOS version is in the works.
