MTN South Africa has launched a new service, Data Share. The new service allows subscribers to share a single data plan with up to 20 other phone numbers on the MTN platform anywhere in South Africa.
With the service, MTN says, the main account holder can add and link SIM-enabled devices such as dongles, tablets, modems and MTN numbers of their extended family and friends, free of charge.
“Data Share offers control and flexibility to manage your accounts and the fulfillment and satisfaction of sharing the benefits of your package with your loved ones. It enables our customers to share data that would otherwise have been lost, without incurring any expenses,” says Larry Annetts, the Chief Marketing Officer, MTN South Africa.
MTN Data Share service can be activated by dialling *141*5# and is available to Prepaid, TopUp, Postpaid and My MTNChoice customers.
