South Africa-based Africa-focused digital advertising network, Addynamo has announced it is retiring its online and mobile ad network to focus on selling Twitter ads.

Addynamo secured an exclusive ad sales partnership Twitter in 2014, which would see the company represent Twitter’s advertising interests in South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Tanzania, Zambia and Uganda.

In an official release obtained by TechCabal, Addynamo CEO, Sean Riley says the opportunity presented through the relationship with Twitter supersedes everything else, and achieving focus within Addynamo teams across Africa is something the business has been grappling with for the past year.

He adds that “focusing on representing Twitter and providing service levels in Africa consistent with what Twitter would provide to the market directly is our absolute priority”.

Ad Dynamo began its ad network in 2009 and is owned by Invenfin, Remgro’s venture capital fund, GT Ferreira (Firstrand founder) and the management team at Ad Dynamo.
