Founded in 2007, Girls In Tech has its headquarters in San Francisco, and chapters in several countries.

This Saturday, the 25th of October, the Nigerian chapter of the organisation will launch at the iDEA Hub.

According to the official statement announcing the event –

The Nigerian chapter of Girls in Tech (GITNg) aims to focus on professional women, female university aged students and secondary school students. Our goal is to inspire and empower women and girls to embrace risk and build on their entrepreneurial and innovative aspirations.

Speaking at the launch event will be Gbenga Sesan, the Executive Director of Paradigm Initiative Nigeria.
