African telcos are notorious for running a deluge of promotionals for subscribers who often end up unable to keep track of these promos. Ghanaian startup, Promolante, aggregates various promotions and network packages from telcos operating in the country on its web platform.

“Promolante helps you get the best and most out of your network provider,” Abdul-Rahim Sulemana, CEO and Founder of Promolante, said.

Sulemana designed and launched the web-platform on a personal budget in 2014 and it garnered over 10, 000 unique visitors in its first 6 months. The startup also came in third at the recently held Samsung Developer Challenge in Accra.

Promolante doesn’t seem to have any competition in the promos comparison space currently. Sulemana believes the only offering close to a competition are “apps the telcos provide themselves.”

It recently launched its app (available on Google Play) which comes with more functionalities such as being able sign up for desired offerings, and easily unsubscribe from a promo.
