Microsoft Inc. has selected South Africa-based mentor led tech innovation accelerator, Start With Seven (SW7), as one of its partners to oversee the BizSpark Plus programme in Africa, Disrupt Africa reports.

The programme will kick-off in July 1, 2015.

BizSpark Plus is a Microsoft program that provides technology, support, visibility and community to promising startups and entrepreneurs at no charge. Microsoft has partnered with more than 150 startup accelerators in 47 countries including ERA, 1871 from the U.S, and Seedcamp in the U.K.

“The accelerator’s selection as partner was a very exciting endorsement of what Sw7 had been doing in the region,” said Odette Jones, Sw7 co-founder. “We do think this kind of offering will enable us to slingshot some businesses on  to the global stage.”

BizSpark Plus will offer up to $120,000 worth of free cloud services, software, support and tools for startups that qualify.

Startups interested in participating from Africa may apply through SW7 or the event website.
