Global pitch event, Seedstars world, organized by the Swiss investment company, Seedstars has begun taking applications for the Lagos edition of the competition.
Lagos is the third African city hosting the pitch event this year after two events in the series already held in Maputo and Johannesburg.
“You can look forward to an event filled with disruptive tech, inspirational keynote, networking sessions,” the organizers say.
The Lagos pitch day is on July 31, 2015 and will be the final event of the Startup Week in Lagos. The jury consists of Simeon Ononobi, Simplepay’s CEO, Tunji Eleso, director at CcHub, Ike Eze, Executive Director at eTranzact and Marcello Schermer, Seedstars World Regional manager, Africa.
The pitch tour will hold in 13 African cities this year, with 12 finalist from Africa going head to head with finalists from other Seedstars World regions for $1.5 million in equity investment at the global finals in Switzerland next February.
