DIYLaw, mSME, Garage, BudgIT, ShopOfficer, BitsPlatformAtikus and  Justart are the eight startups that will pitch at the finals of the SME empowerment challenge for East and West Africa powered by HiiL Innovating Justice, a social enterprise focused on increasing justice and enhancing legal processes. 

The goal of the competition is to strengthen new initiatives that can empower startups and SMEs in the field of justice, HiiL said in a statement.

This year’s finalists are expected to pitch their innovation to an audience of justices, technology experts, government influencers and academia during the upcoming Innovating Justice Boostcamp in Lagos on 29 October.  

At the event, three of the eight finalists will be selected to attend the 6th Annual Innovating Justice Forum between 3rd and 4th December in the Hague, Netherlands where they will compete for seed investments up to $70,000, acceleration support, access to funding, networks and expert advice.
