incubator

iDEA Nigeria, the IT and entrepreneurship hub, is now accepting applications into its incubator and accelerator programmes.

iDEA’s incubator supports early stage tech startups for up to one year with infrastructure they need to find their footing and grow. Its accelerator programme lasts for 14 weeks. iDEA takes a 6% stake in the startups accepted into its programmes in exchange for $10,000 and other benefits of the programme.

The programme includes business advisory and professional services, and mentorship that will help the tech entrepreneurs validate the market and build their products.

The window for applications to the incubation programme opened on November 24, 2015 and will close on December 18. Meanwhile applications to the acceleration programme opened on November 30, 2015 to close on January 12, 2016. Interested applicants for the incubation programme will face an interview between January 4 and 5, while those for the acceleration programme will be interviewed on February 8, 2016.

Resumption dates for successful applicants will be January 18, 2016 – for the incubation programme, and February 22, 2016 – for the acceleration programme.

Startups like Sabaoth Technologies, Talking Bookz and Revocube are currently being incubated. Playspread, Jara Mobile and RAMP are the current members of its accelerator programme.
