There were unconfirmed reports that Etisalat’s internet network was down in parts of Lagos, Nigeria. Some subscribers on the network who reached out to TechCabal said they had not been able to connect to the internet since late Tuesday night.
This proved true when we tried to link up via Etisalat in our office.
There were no statements from Etisalat regarding the downtime. We have reached out to Etisalat on this and will get back on this once we get a reply.
Update: Just before we published the story, reports reached us that internet connection had resumed on the network.
Update (11:27): TechCabal’s source at Etisalat said the telco had pockets of isolated outages which have now been cleared.
