Bandwidth Barn, a Cape Town based incubator, has signed a partnership with telecommunications provider, Telkom.
The deal will enable the incubator commit more resources in creating and supporting accelerator programmes for startups, reports Disrupt Africa.
The partnership will focus on implementing three programs; MediaTech Initiative; to provide startups with market information, InnoTech; an accelerator program for startups focusing on software, games and mobile apps development and Acceleration Support Program for high-impact Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises in their development, production and deployment phases.
“This partnership with Telkom enables us to leverage and convert our historical enterprise development success into tech enabled innovation, incubation and acceleration goals which are aligned with Telkom’s innovation and enterprise development objectives. We are committed to taking our long and successful relationship with Telkom, to a new level,” Ian Merrington, CEO of CiTi and the Bandwidth Barn says, according to Disrupt Africa.
Bandwidth Barn, a subsidiary of Cape Innovation and Technology Initiative was founded in 2000 and has four coworking spaces in Cape Town.
