As Uber rolled out auto-Rickshaws services for Delhiites back in April, Kenya’s e-hailing startup, MARAMOJA has also added motorcycles (called boda bodas in Kenya) to its initial taxi-only offering.

The company announced the new feature on its website. “MARAMOJA has been leading a revolutionary movement toward socially powered on-demand taxis. Today we are excited to announce the same for boda bodas,” the company said.

Maramoja is rolling out a pilot fleet of Motocycles in Westlands, Kilimani, Lavington, and Town, and users can simply elect to order a motorcycle rather than a taxi when they use the app.

The service will run exactly like the existing previous taxi-exclusive one, with fixed pricing and a payments mechanism left to the users’ convenience.
