    Wanjo Foods wins Case Foundation’s $25,000 startup competition in Ghana

    Wanjo Foods won Pitch for Africa, a startup competition for Africans startups funded by Case Foundation, TechMoran reports.

    The competition had startups pitch before a panel of judges including Steve Case, Jean Case and Erick Osiakwan.

    Participating startup included EgoTickets, FarmerLine, ContraPac, BitSoko- an Android mobile wallet that implements Blockchain technology, Pharmsee, Flippy Campus, Asoriba- a web platform for church administration and Alfie Design.

    Wanjo Foods, a startup that processes indigenous crops into food products, was declared winner and clinched the $25,000 cash prize.

    Case Foundation is a United States-based investment outfit founded by AOL co-founder Steve Case and his wife Jean Case.
