Co-founder and technical lead of Tranzit, Rodney Jackson-Cole is leaving the startup to continue his education.

However, while the pursuit of golden fleece will not allow him continue in his previous role at the online taxi booking service he helped co-found in 2012, Rodney will still find time to offer technology consulting services via a new venture called DevShack Alpha.

“DevShack is pretty much a dev shop to hack great ideas into awesome products and services”, says Rodney. I am passionate about ideas and technology. It’s a perfect fit for me”.

In response to our inquiry, Tranzit confirmed that Rodney retains equity in the startup, but would not disclose how much. They also sent in an official statement on Rodney’s exit –

Rodney Jackson Cole, one of the founding members and lead developer at Tranzit Nigeria has left the startup to resume his educational pursuits, and start up a venture better suited to accommodate the new demands on his time. Rodney’s experience from TaxiPark proved valuable in setting up Tranzit, and he will be missed. We wish him the very best in his future endeavours.
