Alcatel-Lucent, provider of IP networking, cloud technology and ultra-broadband services, has appointed Rashy Hashem as the country senior and managing director for Ghana.
According to a news release on the company’s website, Mr. Rashy is expected to assume overall responsibility for managing daily operations as well as taking the lead on strategic business directions for alcatel-lucent’s activities in Ghana.
“Rashy’s appointment underlines our strong belief in this market and its potential, bringing with him strong sales and people management experience”, said Alpin Verlet, Head of Alcatel-Lucent’s activities in the West & Central Africa region.
Mr Rashy is the former chief technology officer for Alcatel-Lucent in the Middle East and holds a degree in engineering, electronics and communication from the University of Ain Shams, Cairo Egypt and a masters of business administration from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow Scotland.
