?? South African e-health startup hearX has raised over $2.8m from a lineup of international investors to expand its range of products and access new markets globally. The startup’s first product was an app that detects hearing loss, using real-time environment-monitoring tech.

?? Still on SA’s tech scene (well, sort of), Tencent has launched its music streaming service, Joox, in the country, quite possibly with the hope that its projected focus on local music will differentiate it from (other) popular music streaming services.
