Kasookoo Communications announces selection by Catalytic Africa as a beneficiary of its first round of funding for startups within the Anglophone Africa ecosystem. This selection was facilitated by South South-East Angel Network (SSEAN), an African Business Angels (ABAN) registered Network. Catalytic Africa was established by the African Business Angels Network (ABAN) and AfriLabs with the purpose of supporting the African startup ecosystem in the most efficient and meaningful way.

It marks the successful completion of an initial pilot phase and launch of the Catalytic Africa Platform which co-invests with angel investors in startups to enable African startups within the African startup ecosystem to receive more capital to allow them to grow and thrive within the African and global markets.

The future of communications for businesses is a seamless unified interface that creates an all-immersive and interactive experience for the customer; where they are able to connect with businesses, through any channel they prefer without a break in the flow of conversation and context.

Kasookoo Communications offers a cloud-based omnichannel contact center solution. It has entered into the space to give enterprises, start-ups, and smaller businesses the much-needed support for this form of superior multi-channel engagement. This will help boost customer experience, raise overall customer satisfaction levels and eliminate expenditure outlays required to roll out traditional infrastructure.

According to co-founder Akin Braithwaite, “A key factor in securing the matching fund, is the role critical role of TVC labs, an Afrilabs-affiliated innovation hub in Nigeria.  As a registered member of TVC labs, Kasookoo will benefit from important support and advisory services which the incubator provides to post-revenue technology companies such as ours, playing in new spaces. This gives much-needed confidence to the investor community that we will keep moving in the right direction and achieve our objectives.

Kasookoo’s customer engagement center focuses on organizations with both small and large teams with intricate communication processes. It is a subscription-based platform that also enables teams to work more collaboratively internally through multiple devices, skill-based routing and video conferencing options, among others. This fosters seamless engagement with customers, regardless of location; proving to be very effective in this new ‘Work Anywhere’ dispensation. The solution is installed for businesses in a matter of hours, offering ease in configuration without the need for a team of engineers to maintain it”.

The company plans to apply the funds to develop its product offering, expand its Customer Service, as well as build Brand Awareness in its quest to become a market leader in the fast-paced burgeoning world of Unified Communications that is gripping the world and Africa.

This pocket and the customer-friendly solution is also available as a mobile application with customized service, tailored to fit businesses with smaller market bases and teams.
