440, a tech startup investment partnership between L5Lab and 88mph, announced it has invested in online video learning platform, DavtonLearn.
DavtonLearn until recently was an offline training service. It was founded by Tobi Obasa in 2009 and the online platform will be officially launched in October. Details of the investment wasn’t made public.
Meanwhile, four startups pitched at 440’s 24 hour pitch event that held over the weekend. 440 announced the startups earlier via an emailed press release.
The startups: Traclist, PrepClass, Kangpe and Jekalo pitched before a panel that included 440 and other founder-investors like Elo Umeh of Twinpine Mobile, Bastian Gotter of iRoko, Olumide Soyombo of LeadPath, Ngozi Dozie of Kaizen Venture Partners and Jay Alabraba of Paga.
440 has said that it will announce investments from the event as and when they close the deals.
440 opened application for Deal Weekend in July as reported earlier, the pitch event had startups compete for equity investment of between $100,000 to $250,000.
