One Africa Media, an online classified firm with investments in a portfolio of online marketplaces across Africa, has acquired online job marketplaces, Jobberman and BrighterMonday, reports TechMoran.

One Africa Media raised a $10 million funding from SEEK, an Australian job marketplace, with which it acquired 100% shares in both Jobberman and BrighterMonday.

The fund from SEEK, reportedly increases its shares in OAM by 6% and brings its overall share in the company to 31%. The One Africa Media, an investor in a number of online marketplaces in Africa, has now bought over Jobberman Ghana and Nigeria and also the Kenyan job marketplace BrighterMonday.

We reached out to Jobberman on the veracity of the report, where this leaves the company founders and investors and how this development will affect the company’s roadmap.

Jobberman’s co-founder, Ayodeji Adewunmi informs TC that the company will release an official statement later today.
