Street Capital, iDea Hub and Good Steward LLC have just announced a series of events called the Startup Survival Series. The idea is that you can transform startups from their default state: empty vessels into well-oiled, efficient, revenue generating machines by placing them in the company of a pool of experts and creating an environment where they can learn from/collaborate with their peers.

Classroom

The first edition of the Startup Survival Series will hold tomorrow, April 15 at iDea Hub, 296 Herbert Macaulay Road, Sabo-Yaba, Lagos from 12:00noon to 3:00pm. It’s titled “How to Sell to Save Your Startup” and it will feature Shawn and Delores Rochester from Good Steward LLC. Between them, they’ve sold more than $1 billion in IT solutions, managed relationships with Fortune 500 companies, and they’ve got over 20 years experience in heading Sales Management, Finance and Operations teams in the IT industry.

It’s a ton of work, running a startup. Even more, running a successful one. I think it’s important for early-stage businesses to become both cash flow positive and autonomous, and from all indications, attending the Startup Survival Series is a step in that right direction. If you decide to attend, here’s the Eventbrite page, so you can register. You can thank me later.

Hat tip to Tola, for helping out with this one.
