    LAGOS, NIGERIA – Beyond Limits Global, in partnership with the U.S. Consulate General Lagos, has officially launched Cohort 3.0 of the Beyond Limits Fellowship for Founders. This transformative 12-week program empowers 30 exceptional, early-stage Nigerian startups (a total of 60 executives) with the skills and resources to scale their businesses and drive impact in the global market.     Selected from a highly competitive pool of over 500 applicants, these 30 startups represent various sectors, including fintech, health tech, mobility, edtech, sustainability, artificial intelligence, and more. They are poised to tackle critical challenges and contribute to Nigeria’s economic growth.

    “We believe strongly in the power of entrepreneurship to contribute to economic development in Africa,” said Dr. Juliet Ehimuan, founder of Beyond Limits Global, at the vibrant induction ceremony held at the American Corner, Lagos. “Nigeria, for example, is home to 5 of Africa’s 10 unicorns, showcasing our country’s vibrant entrepreneurial landscape. This year’s cohort represents the future of innovation on the continent And I’m incredibly excited to witness their growth and contribute to their success,” Dr Ehimuan kicked off the session with a Leadership and Excellence masterclass.

    Babajide Duroshola, general manager of M-KOPA Nigeria, delivered an engaging presentation highlighting the pivotal role of leadership in building resilient companies. “As a leader, building a successful and sustainable business begins with you and your ability to manage people effectively,” he stated.

    Emphasizing the fellowship’s vision of fostering entrepreneurial excellence, Dr. Ehimuan revealed that “a good number of the Beyond Limits Fellowship alumni have experienced significant business growth, while others have reported securing follow-on funding after completing the program.” 

    Throughout the program, participants will gain access to:

    • Expert mentorship: Guidance from experienced entrepreneurs and industry leaders.
    • Investor networks: Opportunities to connect with potential investors.
    • Tailored resources: The top three fellows will be awarded essential startup resources worth a total of $10k to help support their businesses and scale their impact.

    This year’s Fellowship boasts an impressive roster of mentors who will guide and inspire the participating startup leaders. Joining Dr Ehimuan to facilitate learning sessions are renowned leaders from across the African tech and business landscape, including Co-Founder and CEO of Paystack, Shola Akinlade; Founder of HealthCap Africa, Dr Ola Brown; Co-Founder of Bluechip Technologies Ltd, Olumide Soyombo; General Partner of Acasia Ventures, Biola Alabi; Founder & CEO of SLOT, Nnamdi Ezeigbo; Co-Founder and CEO, Talstack, Seni Sulyman; CEO, OptimaBiome, Dr Malcolm Fabiyi; and Investor & Advisor, African Startup Portfolio, Oyin Solebo, among other distinguished ecosystem leaders.
