IsUhuruInKenya.co.ke; the Kenyan website that tells if president Uhuru Kenyatta is in the country, is back in operation after it went offline yesterday.
Brian Maiyo who created the website confirmed this on Twitter few moments ago.

Brian had said the website was shut down by Kenya’s domain registry, Kenic. While Kenic did not give an official statement at the time, Brian claimed to have gotten a confirmation of the shut down.
Just confirmed that government shut down https://t.co/df4aDUrXZH . The government of Kenya has told me to go pick a letter. #UhuruInKenya

Kenic however has come out to say it did not shut down the website, hinting that the website going offline was a fallout of breakdown in ISP’s services.
“We have not deleted the domain as claimed,” Kenic said in statement.”Currently, our WHOIS search can not be accessed. This is because there has been some issues with our ISP (liquid Telcom) connection this evening. Liquid Telcom team on this list will confirm that KENIC’s technical team has been in contact with them.”
Developing story…
Update: Kenic’s WHOIS search is back up.
You can now access .KE domain who-is details at https://t.co/fcQyoqNFKD. We apologise for any inconveniences caused.
