Blackberry just announced that they are making their PRIV smartphones available in Nigeria, through SLOT retail outlets.
On paper, the phone looks like a beast. From the 18MP camera, to the 22-hour battery, to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, to a pixel density of 540 ppi, to support for SD cards as large as 2TB. Mental. It’s received generally positive reviews, since its release, back in November 2015.
Since the Android armageddon, Nigeria is supposed to be one of BlackBerry’s last strongholds. It’d be interesting to see how the market responds to this device. For now, Samsung remains at the top of the food chain, as far as high-end Android devices go, in Nigeria.
